Poseidon’s Trident launched in 2008 by Nicholas D. Anastas, Ph.D., M.S., as a consulting company dedicated to a "sea-change" in environmental protection. This "sea change" is accomplished through an indefatigable dedication to environmental stewardship and a dedication to minimizing risk at the molecular level.

Green Chemistry and Green Chemical Design form the core of holistic environmental chemistry. Poseidon’s Trident believes that the most effective way to protect and improve human health and the environment is through identifying innovative approaches for molecular design and implementing progressive solutions to risk assessment, environmental data use and environmental advocacy.

Poseidon’s Trident applies its twenty years of scientific and regulatory experience to efficiently serve the needs of its clients. Recent work has included lifecycle analysis for PVC alternatives, developing a framework for hazard reduction using green chemistry principles and presenting a lecture on Green Pharmacy at the Soils Conference.
